Misplaced Overconfidence
The more you succeed, the worst at something you do.
Effect: You take on your success too well, causing you to stop trying. Whenever you succeed at a d20 roll (be it an attack, save, or skill) your overconfidence gives you a -1 penalty on subsequent rolls of that sort until the end of your next turn. The effect is cumulative (to a maximum of -5).
If the success is a natural 20, the -1 applies to all d20 rolls and lasts for 24 hours (still to a maximum of -5). This only apply if the roll made a measurable difference, such as a successful attack roll or knowledge check but not a perception check which fail to spot anything new.
Rolling a natural 1 reduces the penalty by 1, to a minimum of -1.
Benefit: Any bonus feat for which you meet the prerequisites.
