Secret Identity [Skill] You have built up a secret Identity, to help keep your loved ones safe. Benefits: This is a skill feat that scales with your ranks in Disguise.

  • 0 ranks: Your secret identity has a name - you name your cover identity and gain +10 to disguise when disguised as your cover identity, also it only takes 1D3 minutes for you to disguise yourself as your secret identity.
  • 4 ranks: Your secret identity lives - when people try to find stuff about you or your cover, the spell or skill only reveals stuff about one of the two.

Example: If somebody uses scry on your cover identity, they only see the cover identity if you are disguised as it at the time of casting.

Example 2: If somebody uses gather information to learn about your persona, they never learn anything about your cover identity, no matter how high they roll.

  • 9 ranks: True cover - your two identities have grown. You can choose another alignment for your cover identity, and when you are disguised as your cover identity, your alignment is that of your cover identity for all intents and purposes. Also, actions with one identity do not penalize the other.

Example: Peter the exalted student (NG)/Spider-monk (CG) runs around in the day hours painting portraits in the holy church of good; at night, he disguises himself as Spider-monk the vigilante and captures evildoers. If Spider-monk finds a helm of opposite alignment and puts it on, he becomes LE if he fails his Will save. This just means that Spider-monk can't use the exalted feats Peter has; Peter is still NG and can use his exalted feats when not disguised as Spider-Monk.

  • 14 ranks: Perfect cover - nothing can penetrate your disguise; a sense motive check vs your disguise check always fails even spells that read your mind will only reveal what is "natural" for the identity you are in to think.

Also you can as a 1 round action when not observed disguise yourself as your secret identity.

  • 19 ranks: Retiring the mask -If you are killed while disguised as your secret identity and still have your body intact, you don't really die, you respawn 24 hours later (you can keep playing dead) at 1HP. Doing so makes you lose this Feat and "kills" your secret identity.

You can, after a week as of losing this feat, chose a new feat. It can even be this feat again but your secret identity must be substantially different from your old "dead" identity.
