This fancy [[SRD:Hooded Lantern|Hooded Lantern]] is under a constant [[Lantern of the Moon (3.5e Spell)|''lantern of the moon'']] effect, granting low-light vision to whoever hold it. It does not cast any brighter light and does not need to be refueled.

The Palelight Lantern is capable of projecting a gout of ghostly fire as a standard action, replicating the effect of [[SRD:Burning Hands|''burning hands'']] (5d4, DC 13) except that the blast does not hurt and pass through non-living matter. This prevent it from hurting construct and undead but allow the blast to ignore cover. Once this ability is used, the wielder must wait 5 rounds before using it again.
