As you cast this spell, you enhance the next arrow or bolt with magical powers and immediately fire it. The projectile glows with a faint blue color, and it becomes enhanced as per the [[SRD:Greater Magic Weapon|''greater magic weapon'']] spell and gains the [[SRD:Distance|Distance]] and [[SRD:Seeking|Seeking]] enhancements in addition to any special qualities already on the arrow.

A projectile enhanced by enchanted shot counts as generated by a spell effect, and thus cannot be deflected by [[SRD:Deflect Arrows|Deflect Arrows]]. If the arrow is not fired before the end of your next turn, it returns to normal and the spell is wasted.
