This technique was thought to skilled initiates, as a useful way to scale up cliffs and walls or otherwise gain height quickly.
As you initiate this maneuver you create a pillar of ice underneath yourself. This pillar behaves as if it were a wall of ice, except it has the dimensions above. You are safely transported to the top of the pillar and you gain the effect of spider climb but only for your pillar. You are not damaged by your own winter spire.
You may only have one instance of this maneuver active at any time. If you create another winter spire or the maneuver’s duration elapses, the pillar immediately melts. If a creature is on top of a pillar as its duration elapses, if you dismiss it, or create a new one it is safely transported to the base of the pillar.
This maneuver behaves as wall of ice, except that you create pillars underneath yourself.
