Talk:Executioner's Strike (3.5e Feat)

Unseen ExecutionersEdit

This isn't a bad thing, but I find the name funny since this is all about sneaky death attacking. I'm just trying to imagine some guy on a chopping block being confused where the executioner is when SURPRISE I WAS IN THE BARREL ALL ALONG CHOP CHOP!

That said, that is quite the increase to the DC of death attack you got there. I am ambivalent about that one. That is clearly where the VH part comes in. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 00:51, 28 April 2017 (MDT)

That's quite an absurd imagine indeed, I agree.
The feat is somewhat of a low-level death attack, so that one doesn't have to spend levels in Assassin or something else, but there's also the fact that some only take a 1-level dip into Assassin, which leaves the DC at 11 + Int. While this feat does increase the daylights out of the DC, most people won't notice it unless the character is a dedicated death-attacker, in which case sneak-attack-immune monsters are the usual fix (Or just those with insane Fort saves).
That said, it is VH-balance because I realized people would try to get really high sneak attack dice just for the sake of having a really high DC for the ability. Zhenra-Khal (talk) 01:15, 28 April 2017 (MDT)
