Multiple Challenge Ratings & Property GenerationEdit

So, the monster template has properties built into it for Challenge Rating. The whole series of hydras, however, has all this extra information that causes them to sort weird and also not show up at all on the Creatures by CR listing page. I thought I fixed a goof by switching this one to the formatting of the others... but it turns out they're all messed up already. So, is there any way to get them to show up on the Creatures by CR listings and not have the article look glitchy? By "glitchy" I mean that with them registering proper CRs, an extra set of double end brackets shows up. I suspect the answer is "No" or "A lot of work". --Ganteka Future (talk) 07:23, 13 February 2015 (UTC)

The CR parameter is intended to hold a single number only, giving it any more causes the parameter thing to be weird. Giving brackets inside of that does... well, what you saw, because it's adding a set of extra outside brackets on the template end. Normally in a case like this we'd just split the monster stats up into 3 separate monsters, but that seems a serious waste in this case. So I just wrote an extra alternate cr parameter (cralt, and cr2alt and cr3alt just in case) that only show up when cr is removed. These new params will not add extra brackets from the template, so the entry works just fine now that it's been migrated.
tl;dr - The answer is "No, but it's an easy adjustment to the template." - Tarkisflux Talk 17:16, 13 February 2015 (UTC)
Hooray, I'll switch the other hydras here sometime today then, and there's probably a few other monsters as well (perhaps even some homebrew ones that use this template). --Ganteka Future (talk) 17:38, 13 February 2015 (UTC)
