You bind a fire elemental to the wood, causing it to smolder in a new form.
You target a wooden weapon, armor, or object and transform it into either Airbound, Earthbound, Firebound, or Waterbound wood. It replaces the previous wood properties for the duration. If the item is sundered, the resulting medium elemental only lasts for 1 round until you reach caster level 9th, at which point they last for 1 minute.
If cast upon something made from an elemental wood, the wood gains the properties of both its original and the new wood's property. Same properties overlap, so there is no point in casting a fire version of this spell on a firebound wooden item.
