Double Weapon[edit]
Transform two normal longswords into one two-bladed sword.
A double weapon item is not a normal weapon template. Rather than modify an existing weapon, double weapons must be created as such. The double weapon template only applies to weapons. Unlike most item templates, this may be combined with other item templates, or even have different item templates on each end of the weapon.
Requirements[edit]
The creator must have 4 ranks in Craft Weapon.
Double Weapons[edit]
Double weapons consist of two separate weapons, usually the same type but sometimes different. They require 1 one-handed weapon and 1 either one-handed or light weapon to create. They are joined at the hilts to enable them to be used as a single weapon two-handed or as two for two-weapon fighting.
Cost: 50 gp plus the cost of each weapon involved. By adding an additional 300, you are considered proficient if you are proficient in its two component weapons.
Affinities: None.
Special: Take 1 one-handed weapon and 1 one-handed or light weapon. They become a single double weapon. The weapon becomes exotic, and may be used two-handed or used for two-weapon fighting. The weapon can be finessed only if both halves are able to be finessed. For example, two tridents becomes a double trident (1d8 20/x3, 1d8 20/x3, exotic) for 80 gp. A warhammer/kukri would be (1d8 20/x3, 1d4 18-20/x2, exotic) for 70 gp.
