| I'm nervous about Temp HP from a cantrip; but the limitations (self only, about as much as Heroism) keep it relatively under control. My biggest complaint is the upcasting messing with range as well as damage. |
On Balance
At first glance the spell seems to be overpowered for a cantrip. Both damaging an enemy and giving temporary hit points to the caster. However...
- The damage is low (d6)
- Temporary Hit Points do not stack. So you cannot build up a huge reserve of temporary hit points.
