When you manifest this power you make a ranged touch attack against an opponent in range, and they must succeed on a [[Reflex]] save or become [[SRD:Entangled|entangled]].  An entangled creature takes a -2 penalty on attack rolls and a -4 penalty on Dexterity, can move at only half speed, and cannot charge or run.  A thin string of ectoplasmic rope connects you and the entangled creature, you can control this trailing rope by succeeding on an opposed [[Strength]] check while holding it as a move action, or when opposing enemy movement.  If successful, the entangled creature can only move within the limits that the string allows (out to maximum range or less if you so choose).  If you move you roll the opposed [[Strength]] check with a +4 bonus, and if you fail you can either cease moving or let the rope extend up to its maximum range while you move.  If the entangled creature attempts to cast a spell, it must make a DC 15 Concentration check or be unable to cast the spell. 

An entangled creature can escape with a DC 20 Escape Artist check (a full-round action).  The psionic leash has 5 hit points and can be burst with a DC 25 Strength check (also a full-round action).  It can be destroyed by any effect which can destroy a ''[[SRD:Wall of Force|wall of force]]''.

Psionic leash is useful only against creatures within one size category larger than you or smaller.
