When you manifest this power you fire a ray of light and shoots it forth from your fingertip and strikes a target within range, dealing 1d4 points of damage, if you succeed on a ranged touch attack with the ray. Against oozes, undead, and creatures vulnerable to light the d4 increase to a d8 (including extra dice from augmenting). 

On a natural 15-20 on the attack roll, the creature is also blinded for 1 round. 

You can charge your beam, manifesting this power as a 1 round action. If you do so instead of firing a ray you instead fire a 30 feet line from your fingertip and deal damage to all creature caught in the line, a successful reflex save cause the damage to be minimized (every die count as having rolled 1). You add 10 ft. to the line for each point spent on augmenting photon beam. Creatures who roll a natural one on their reflex save against this version of the power are blinded for 1 round.

1. For every additional power point you spend, this power’s damage increases by 1d4 points. 

2. For 2 additional [[SRD:Power Points|power points]] you spend, you can fire a beam of brightly colored light duplicating the effect of [[Prismatic Edge (3.5e Spell)|prismatic edge]] on each struck creature (roll randomly for each).

3. For 2 additional [[SRD:Power Points|power points]] you spend, you increase the natural attack roll range to blind a creature with the beam by 1.  If you use the line version of the power instead increase the length of the line by an additional 10 feet.

4. For each 4 additional [[SRD:Power Points|power points]] you spend, you fire one additional beam, it must target another creature within the range of the spell and only deal half as much damage as the original beam. If you use the line version of the power instead increase the width of the line by 5 ft.

For every two additional power points you spend on any augmentation, the DC rises by +1.
