Liquid Nitrogen[edit]
The vial was filled with what looked like water, but was actually the atmosphere in liquid form.
An impossibly cold substance drawn out of the very atmosphere, liquid nitrogen has many practical uses. Of course, someone figured out you could toss them in people's faces, to great effect. Liquid nitrogen operates like alchemical lava, except it deals 2d6 cold damage. The ice is so cold, that the flesh continues to freeze the target from within, dealing an additional 1d6 cold damage for 1d3 rounds after the initial strike. The liquid nitrogen rapidly boils away into smoke shortly after.
