You imbue your eldritch blast with the power of the exsiccating blast. When living creatures are struck, they take your eldritch blast damage as desiccation damage. Targets struck by the blast must make a fortitude save or be staggered for 1 round.

Water elementals, oozes, plant creatures and creatures made of a large amount of water are particularity weak to desiccation damage and take d10 damage instead of the usual d6 from your exsiccating blast and are staggered for 1 round on a successful fortitude save and for 3 rounds on a failed save. 

Creatures that lack a decent amount of water or water at all are immune to your exsiccating blast and the desiccation damage and being staggered (examples being air/fire/earth elementals, stone constructs).
