When casting this spell you create and immediately launch a small bone-like pin or quill at the target as a ranged touch attack.  On a successful hit, the target creature takes 1d4 points of non-lethal damage any time they take a strenuous action (as per [[SRD:Disabled|being disabled]]).  In addition they cannot stabilize or cure bleeding while the pin is within them.  The pin may be removed as a move action which provokes attacks of opportunity, or a standard action which does not.  Removing it deals 1d4 non-lethal damage and the spell effect ends.
