Resized
Resized weapons don't actually change in size, but are adjusted to be used by people of different sizes without penalty.
A Halfling can pick up a human's shortsword and wield it like a one-handed weapon, but not with any grace. Likewise, a huge giant's dagger could be a human's two-handed weapon. But in all cases, the weapon simply isn't fit for that kind of use by that kind of person. A resized weapon alters the hilt and balance of the weapon, so a "huge dagger" or other such objects can indeed be made use of without penalty. They are generally applied to loot of inappropriate, but still feasible, size. Resizing only works for weapons, as its not a matter of changing the weapon size as it is the grip.
A resized weapon has all the base statistics of the normal item except as noted here.
Requirements
The creator of a resized item must have at least 4 ranks in Craft.
Resized Weapons
Resized weapons have their grip and balance altered. This removes the penalty for using an incorrectly sized weapon, for use of the new size category (such as making a medium longsword into a weapon for small users). The incorrect size penalty now applies to everything but its new resizing (so a medium longsword now applies penalties to medium creatures), though the penalty is only -1 per size difference instead of -2.
This does not change the handedness of the weapon. A medium longsword can be used as a two-handed small weapon, but a medium greatsword requires three hands for a small user.
Resizing can be removed for half the price as adding the resized item template.
