Punch Card Reader
This small rectangular machine is fitted with a 4-inch wide slot that receives standard punch cards, translating the imprinted information to machine code.
Certain computers, Bots, vehicles, control consoles and digital panels may be standardly equipped with a punch card reader, while others may be fitted with one to increase their versatility and functionality.
Some punch card readers also have writing capability, allowing a programmer to use them to write punch cards or a computer or bot to print program data into punch card form. The programming and auto-compiling software grants the user a +2 competence bonus on Program checks for the purpose of writing punch cards.
