Homunmagnus
An homunmagnus is an alchemical attempt to create a synthetic lifeform, imitating a human. The result is an unusually large and powerful specimen. Homunmagnus are often grotesque in their proportion, with many artifacts of their birth dotting their bodies, such as scars and screws. All homunmagnus are born adults, and many struggle to adapt to a society that sometimes actively rejects them. As a result, they have a reputation as being loners. Homunmagnus possesses the full spectrum of human intelligence and creativity, despite common prejudices. They do not have any predilection toward any specific alignment, although homunmagnus are overwhelmingly born neutral-aligned.
Since they are synthetic, they lack the ability to reproduce naturally. This and their limited lifespan make it so that forming a community of their own is nigh-impossible. Typically a homunmagnus will remain at their side of their creator until their demise. Others will become wanderers, making the best of their life.
Racial Traits
- +2 Strength, -2 Dexterity, +2 Constitution: A homunmagnus is a hulking broad-shouldered mound of a humanoid, but are relatively clumsy.
- Humanoid (Synthetic)
- Medium: As a Medium creature, a homunmagnus has no special bonuses or penalties due to its size.
- Homunmagnus base land speed is 20 feet.
- Darkvision: A homunmagnus can see in the dark up to 60 feet. Darkvision is black and white only, but it is otherwise like normal sight, and a homunmagnus can function just fine with no light at all.
- Homunmagnus have a +2 natural armor bonus to their Armor Class.
- Homunmagnus electricity resistance of 5.
- Statuesque (Ex): A homunmagnus counts as one size category larger than his actual size for the purpose of combat maneuvers and carrying capacity. Furthermore, they gain an additional +4 bonus on resisting combat maneuvers from creatures at least one size smaller than themselves. If an attacker at least one size category smaller than the homunmagnus fails to bull rush or overrun it, then that attacker automatically falls prone.
- Synthetic Subtype (Ex): An homunmagnus counts as a construct for the purpose of effect which affect a specific type (such as a bane weapon or a ranger's favored enemy) and for prerequisites. They are still treated as humanoid for the purpose of spells.

Alternate Racial Traits
- Corpsecrafted: Instead of being a product of alchemy, some homunmagnus are made by necromancers through a careful selection of corpse-parts. These homunmagnus counts as undead creature rather than construct for the purpose of effect which affect a specific type (such as a bane weapon or a ranger's favored enemy) and for prerequisites. They are still treated as humanoid for the purpose of spells and cannot be turned or commanded. This racial trait replaces synthetic subtype.
