Flameguard

This armor and shield enhancement grant resistance to fire and extremely hot temperatures. The wearer of flameguard armor is always under the effect of endure elements (warm only), gain a +2 bonus on saving throws against [fire] effects and gain fire resistance 5 + the armor’s enhancement bonus. The fire resistance granted by flameguard armor doubles against nonmagical fire damage.

An enhanced shield grants fire resistance 1 + the shield's enhancement bonus, which doubles when fighting defensively or using the total defense action. While fighting defensively or using the total defense action, all fire damage dealt to the wearer by a foe she is aware of is dealt as non-lethal damage.

The resistance granted by a flameguard armor and shield stacks.

Moderate Abjuration; CL 6th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor, resist energy; Price: +2.
