Eldwood

Eldwood is a powerful material, harvested from the fallen branches of the most sacred of ancient tree. It is harder than steel and can be easily sharpened. A magical eldwood item is immune to attempt to alters or warp it shape, such as through the use of the wood shape spell. Eldwood does easily burn like wood, instead taking fire damage much like a metal weapon. A weapon made of eldwood can be used as a divine focus for a druid or ranger.

Any weapons made normally of steel or wood can be made into an eldwood weapon. A weapon normally made of metal made of eldwood weight half as much as normal. A eldwood weapon counts as adamantine for the purpose of bypassing damage reduction and ignore hardness 10 or less. A club or quarterstaff made of eldwood can be the target of the shillelagh spell, even if magical.

Eldwood has 35 hit points per inch of thickness and hardness 18.
