Features

Leap. A grig may replace its movement with a leap. Using a leap it may move up to 40 feet in a straight line in any direction ignoring difficult terrain. 

Actions

Tiny Shortsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 1 (1d4-3) piercing damage.

Tiny Shortbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 20/80 ft., one creature. Hit: 6 (1d4+4) piercing damage.

Innate Spellcasting. The grig can cast the following spells without material components using Charisma as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 12, +4 to hit with spell attacks):

At Will: druidcraft
1/Day each: disguise self, entangle, irresistible dance, pyrotechnics

Bonus Actions

Invisibility. The grig magically turns invisible until it attacks or casts a spell, or until its concentration ends (as if concentrating on a spell). Any equipment the grig wears or carries is invisible with it.


A grig appears to be a cat-sized grasshopper with a humanoid torso, arms, and head.

Grigs can leap great distances. They have light blue skin, forest-green hair, and brown hairy legs, and usually wear tunics or brightly colored vests with buttons made from tiny gems. A grig stands 1-1/2 feet tall and weighs about 1 pound.
