Robes of Magic Veils

This exotic garment is made of metal, fabric and transparent veils of force, which are held together by force threads. The veils of force can be altered by the wearer as a standard action, allowing her to control the opacity of the sheets of force as well as create or remove existing ones. Due to being partially made of force, the robes grant high environmental thermal resistance, granting a +5 circumstance bonus on Fortitude saving throws against exposure to cold and warm weather.

The veils of force are able to absorb incoming kinetic energy. Firstly it grants the full benefits of the mage armor spell. If the wearer has the Mage Armor feat, she counts her effective caster level for the feat as two higher. Additionally, the wearer gains 8 temporary hit points, which are regained at the rate of 1 per round. These temporary hit points are always lost first and any effect which would bypass force-effects also bypass those temporary hit points.

If the magic of the robes of magic veils is dispelled or suppressed, the garment immediately falls at the wearer’s feet.

Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Items, mage armor, wall of force.
Cost to Create: 11,000 GP, 880 EXP, 22 days.
