Power of Lag [Tactical]
The rogue blipped in and out of existence, its knife attacks seemingly hitting from out of range.Prerequisites: BAB +4Benefit: As a free action, once per encounter, you may enter into a state of "Lag". Doing so is a free action and the state lasts three rounds, afterwards leaving the user dazed for one round and sickened for the rest of the encounter. No immunities apply to these effects.
While in the state of "Lag" you gain the following maneuvers:
- Clippling: You may use this maneuver even when Lag is not active. You may use a full-round action to move towards and against an obstacle, disappearing and reappearing on the other side of the obstacle. You may only surpass an obstacle that is no larger than the square you occupy. If it is larger than that, you are shunted back to your starting point, suffering 1d6 of damage per each 5 ft. (3 meters) you travel. While in the state of Lag you may perform this maneuver as a standard action.
- Lag-Attack: You may use a standard action to make a single attack with a melee weapon while out of reach. This attack is unexpected to hit, so the target is flat-footed against it, even if it would not normally be. The target must be within the distance you can cover with one move action from you. After the attack, you immediately appear adjacent to the target. Instead of this technique, you may make a ranged attack with a weapon while being in melee range of an enemy. You don't provoke any attack of opportunity with this attack and you move out of range of the enemy immediately after, appearing at your maximum movement distance, in a direction you decide. These movements don't provoke any attack of opportunity.
- Lag-Walk: While moving, either using a move action or other action or making a charge, you have 30% miss chance against any attack. This miss chance ends when you stop moving. In addition to this, you ignore difficult terrain, hazards on the ground (or any surface your moving on) and small obstacles during your movement, but not where you stop.
Special: This is an extraordinary ability, and so, not affected by magic (like true seeing). Such is the power of Lag.
