This eldritch essence invocation allows you to change your eldritch blast into a brimstone blast. A brimstone blast deals fire damage, however the fire is not regular fire and bypasses fire resistance but not immunity. Any creature struck by a brimstone blast must make a fortitude save or develop burns that do not heal naturally. The burns caused by a brimstone blast disable natural healing, fast healing, regeneration that is bypassed by fire and magic or psionic healing. To heal the burns the creature may either once a day make another fortitude save to try and overcome the burns until they pass or if subject to magic or psionic healing, the caster must make a will save equal to the initial brimstone blast DC to overcome the burns. Once overcome the caster can heal the target as usual and the target can heal as usual now.
