Guide[edit]

Guides are the paramount of explorers and spies, advanced guides become xenoteric.

Making a Guide[edit]

Abilities: This class only uses mental abilities, with the progression of dependency: Charisma, then Intelligence or Wisdom (depending on skills desired); physical abilities take their normal place after the mental.

Races: Mahaari, Energon, Octoxeno.

Alignment: Any.

Manifester Level: Must have at least one level in a manifester class.

Class Features[edit]

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: The guide is proficient in the use of only simple weapons, and needs octoxeno specific armor.

Powers Known (Ps): At 1st level, a guide adds the following powers to her powers known: detect psionics, far hand, mindlink and psionic charm. These powers are added to the guide’s powers known from previous manifester level(s), and thus can be augmented.

At 2nd level, a guide adds the following to her powers know: danger sense, detect hostile intent, psionic identify and psionic tongues. These powers are treated as 2nd level, and cost 3 power points to manifest.

Existing Manifesting Class (Ps): At 2nd and 3rd level, a guide gains additional power points per day and access to new powers as if she had also gained a level in whatever manifesting class she belonged to before she became a guide. She does not, however, gain any other benefits of the previous class. A guide can only select one manifester class to advance in from this feature.

Xenotheric Subtype (Ex): At 3rd level, a guide replaces her xenoblooded subtype with the xenotheric subtype. This gives her a bioenergy pool which can hold a maximum amount of charges equal to 2 plus her Charisma modifier (minimum 1) (instead of the normal con), and recharges at a rate of 2 charges per minute. These charges may be expended to facilitate certain special powers. This also gives her access to xenotheric feats.
