A rare weapon favored by powerful psionics manifester, these Deep Crystal Quarterstaff allow the user to store both power points and powers within them to be used for later. To be used correctly, the user must be at least a 3rd level manifester and attune to the staff to herself with 8 hours worth of meditation. A manifester attuned to the staff may store up 6 levels worth of powers that she know. Whenever she meditate she may store a number of power points into the staff, to a maximum of one-third of her total power point limits. The act of recharging or placing powers within the staff may be done once per day with 1 hours of uninterrupted meditation.
The powers stored within the staff must be manifested using the power points also stored within the staff. The crystal psistaff must be actively wielded in order to use these powers. Once the powers points are used the staff must be recharged using manifester's own power points by meditating as above.
When manifesting through a crystal psistaff, use the attuned wearer's manifester level and DCs. If another user attune with the staff all power points and power stored within it are wiped off and the new owner must meditate to add her powers and power points into the staff. A character who isn't at least a 3rd level manifester cannot attune to the staff.
A crystal psistaff may be enhanced as a weapon as well, following the normal rule for doing so. Additionally for each raw +1 enhancement added to the staff, increase it power level limit by 1. Only one end of the crystal need to be enhanced, if both ends are enhanced use the highest of the two to determine it maximum power level limit.
Prerequisites: Craft Universal Item, crystallize memory, the crafter must provide a deep crystal quarterstaff.
