5e Spell Gravitational Force
3rd-level transmutation
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 100 feet
Components: V, S, M (Lodestone)
Duration: Concentration, up to 5 minutes
Casters: Druid, Wizard

This spell manipulates gravity in a 50-foot cube centered on a point within range. Until the spell ends, a creature that enters the spell's area for the first on a turn or starts its turn there must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is subject to the effects of the spell.

Gravitational Force can create one of the following effects within the manipulated area:

  • Heavy Gravity. The gravity becomes more intense. An affected creature has disadvantage on Strength checks and melee attack rolls; and their weapon range is halved. When calculating falling damage, an affected creature takes 1d10 damage instead of 1d6 for any distance fallen in the spell's area (maximum 5d10).
  • Light Gravity. The gravity becomes less intense. An affected creature has advantage on Strength checks and ranged attack rolls; and their weapon range is doubled. When calculating falling damage, an affected creature takes 1d4 damage instead of 1d6 for any distance fallen in the spell's area (maximum 5d4).
