This "sword" is in fact made of 12 large metal pieces, with a simple steel wire connecting them all to it hilt. In this state it is unusable as proper weapon, instead being a medium improvised weapon with reach. If the command word is spoken by it wielder, an electric current will run through the wire and cause all the piece to magnetically connect, forming a +1 Shock Urukke Steel Bastard Sword. When swung around, the pieces are able to temporarily detach from each other, granting the weapon reach while allowing the wielder to still threaten adjacent squares.
Any enhancement which deal electricity damage (including the shock enhancement already upon it) placed on the Segmented Magnetic Sword deal an extra +2 damage per dice. This extra damage is multiplied on critical hit.
The X is a unique item that cannot be replicated, but is not an artifact and thus may be destroyed or enhanced further as normal.
