This graft is nothing more than an improved pair of eyes, usually for correcting vision impairment or for cosmetic purposes. The receiver of this graft gains superior low-light vision and the range of its darkvision increases by 30 feet if it had darkvision or later acquires it. A creature with a pair of improved eyes also receives a +5 competence bonus to Spot. Improved Eyes function only when applied to living creatures; applied to non-living creatures they rot away over the course of 2d4 days. During construction, spells are employed to replace the flesh, but once applied it is forever a mundane part of the creature.
When grafting improved eyes, the grafter must make a DC 30 Heal check over the course of two hours. A failure indicates the eyes were not properly implanted and the host is blind. The grafter may try again, requiring the removal and re-implantation of the eyes. Even on a successful check, the improved eyes cause quite a bit of strain on the host's brain to get used to, the host will suffer a headache for 3 days after the graft is implanted.
Prerequisites: graft flesh (any), darkvision, the crafter must possess a pair of eyes from a creature with either darkvision or superior low-light vision.
Cost to Create: 750 gp, 60 EXP, 1 days.
