1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.

This impressive-looking revolver has an huge bore in its oversized barrel, and shimmers with a faint green-yellow sheen. It does not use normal bullets, but is loaded with up to 6 magically enhanced snake eggs. When fired, the snake egg hatches and a baby python is shot from the barrel at high velocity. In the space of 10 feet it grows to a full-sized constrictor snake as it travels to its target, where it immediately attacks. Now, shooting snakes would be awesome enough, but these aren't just any snakes, they are colt pythons. While still in mid-air, the colt python fires a very real bullet out of their mouth at the creature originally targeted. The bullet deals 2d6 damage on a successful attack (made with the shooter's attack roll, not the snake's), plus any enhancements or other modifiers. Damage is multiplied normally on a critical hit, but not the snakes.

Colt pythons can only fire a single bullet, after which the snake slams into the target and makes an immediate grapple attempt. If the grapple succeeds, it constricts, dealing 1d3+4 points of damage. Sadly, the magic which rapidly grows a Colt Pythons to adulthood can't be stopped, and the snake will die at the end of the next round after being fired. Enhancements prolong the snake's life by 1 round for every +1 worth of enhancements to either the ammunition or the handgun. The snakes are not summoned creatures and are not under the control of anyone, but they are plenty angry, and will attack the creature they hit. On a miss, the snake travels in a straight line for another 180 feet or until it hits a large solid object such as a wall, where it falls to the ground and will attack anything in range on its next turn.

Snake Egg ammunition costs 1,500 gp for 50 eggs, which remain in magical stasis until being fired. Crafting the egg ammunition requires CL 6th, craft magic arms and armor, summon nature's ally III, 750 gp, 60 XP, 1 day.
