Iron Shot[edit]

Sometimes, a more direct application of iron is required to deal with the damnable arcanists with which witchfinders must contend. Using solid iron bullets or crossbow bolts, witchfinders can sap their magical abilities severely until the bolt or bullet is carved free.

As part of this technique, make a ranged attack. If it hits, the target gains 10% arcane spell failure for each point by which their AC was exceeded by. This is in addition to any spell failure they would normally be subject to. This can be ended by removing the bolt, which deals the weapon's base damage again and requires a standard action.

This technique includes loading times, and thus, whether the weapon is loaded or not makes no difference. At the end of this technique, the weapon used is loaded at no extra time cost.
