Take One To Give One

An infamous technique of the style, this involves deliberately exposing yourself to an enemy attack, with potentially painful consequences, to deliver a powerful counter of your own. Practitioners are known to take this several steps further, such as deliberately dragging themselves onto enemy polearms in order to stab their faces or accepting sword wounds to the gut in return for slicing open the throats of their opponents.

Level: ???

Affects: One creature; see text

Use Time: Immediate

You can use this technique in response to being attacked in melee, before any dice are rolled. You are automatically hit by this attack. The attacker still rolls to check for a critical threat as normal, and if a critical is threatened, the confirmation roll must still be made normally. In return, on your next turn, if you attack that creature, you automatically score a critical threat (but must roll to confirm it normally). If that creature scored a critical threat (whether it confirmed or not), you automatically score a critical hit instead.
