This saddle is well-made, it fine black leather is inscribed with small rune that glow slightly red. It is comfortable, well balanced and when used make the rider feel a strong bond with it mount.
The rider of a mount equipped with a saddle of protection may take up an amount of damage as an immediate action, between 1d6 and 10d6. This damage is transferred to the mount in the form of temporary hit points.
