Have you thought about how this works with items. Say I hav put 5 ranks into assasin bg, dex 18 at lvl4 and have a set of elven boots +10 to move silently. Now im sneaking up behind the goblin chieftan to sneak attak him. Do i get the boots bonus to the check? Wildmage ^Talk 22:05, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

Two reasons: Because background skill checks are not, as you have this worded, Move Silently checks; because items are not 1d20, HD, appropriate ability modifier or background points invested.--Ideasmith (talk) 11:50, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
