Insightful

Insightful creatures notice everything, perhaps too much. It allows them to deduce things through observation that they otherwise would be passed over by others. Sometimes they are possessed of an intense case of [OCD], some others acquire it through traumatic experience, and some have just trained themselves to be this perceptive. They can solve the unsolvable and use all their senses, and sometimes even more.

Creating an Insightful

This is an acquired or inherent template that can be applied to any creature with an intelligence score of 3 or higher.

Size and Type

Size and type remain unchanged.

Armor Class

The insightful gains his Wisdom bonus to AC while in light or no armor. This does not stack with similar effects such as from monk or swordsage^ToB.

Attack

The insightful can choose to use his Wisdom bonus on attack rolls instead of strength.

Special Qualities

Analytic Mind (Ex): An insightful can study a scene and instantly deduce information from it that might be obscure or unusual. This effect is identical to a bard's bardic knowledge ability, using the insightful's character level as his bard level.

Object Reading (Su): An insightful can duplicate the effects of object reading by spending at least 8 hours analyzing an object.

Sensory Field (Su): An insightful gains blindsense out to 10 feet. This increases by 10 feet at 3 HD and every 3 HD beyond (6th, 9th, 12th) to a maximum of blindsense 60 feet at 15th. At 18 HD he gains blindsight out to 10 feet.

Trapfinding (Ex): The insightful gains trapfinding as a rogue. If he already has trapfinding, or obtains it later, he gains a +2 bonus on checks made to find traps.

Trap Sense (Ex): The insightful gains trap sense as a rogue of his character level. This stacks with any trap sense he gains from other sources.

Abilities

+2 Int, +2 Wis

Skills

Insightful creatures have a +4 bonus on Appraise, Forgery, Listen, Search, Spot, and Sense Motive. They are always considered class skills.

Feats

Insightful gain Track as a bonus feat.
