Classes

In the world of Tellur, base class options are a little more limited. There is, for instance, only one kind of arcane, divine, and psionic spellcaster.

  • Priests are the primary servants of the Elder Ones. Most players with any standing in society serve one of the established Great Old Ones (Elder Fremd), selecting their domains from what that entity offers. They can elect to create pacts with lesser spirit creatures, each of which can only grant one-two domains (forming five domains in total), allowing them to choose a combination of domains, subject to DM approval. There is a social trade-off in selecting the latter option, since lesser spirits could in principle be vestiges of older gods, ancestor or nature spirits, or even rogue Fremd, and as such are considered to be heretics by the established cults.
  • Ritualists are the arcane spellcasters of Tellur, who seek to recover secrets lost centuries ago. They function otherwise identically to magicians. As beings that cast spells independent of any patron, through mysterious rituals unknowable to most, ritualists represent a form of magic alien to most, and they are rarely trusted, even when they nominally serve the Great Old Ones.
  • Primary warrior/soldier class (Fighter)
  • Rogue/spy class (Rogue)
  • Investigator class (Bard)
