Use of this spell causes a blast of solar energy to erupt from your palm, deal 1d6 points of damage per caster level to a single creature within range against whom you make a successful ranged touch attack. Undead and oozes instead take 1d8 damage per level; undead and other creatures specifically harmed by bright light (such as vampires, shadows, etc.) take 1d10 damage per level. Despite its greater effects against such creatures, this spell does not count as creating natural sunlight for any purpose.
