The zeitgeist is enthroned with a mijusi guard in foreground.

Zeitgeist

Fat ugly slug’s with superior mind control.

Personality

They have a business and professional demeanor. And do not commonly act like normal slave masters. There common strategy for control is: 1) free an enslaved system, and bring back power to the people (rarely they will insert there predecessor); 2) give the system votes, and holidays to celebrate their freedom; 3) become a dominate part of the republic government, and request payment for revolution costs; 4) create an outside enemy, or natural disaster; 5) convince the people to give them more power to fight this outside antagonist; 6) make education central to the system (and write the books). They have become very good a warping freedom. And do not like to associate with other slaver races (hekatonped, setenall, and uberich); and like publicly humiliate uberich - to create dissonance. The sheep are easier to control (and thus more efficient) when undisturbed and "happy".

Physical Description

Zeitgeists are large blue slug-like beings

Relations

Zeitgeist keep as far away form other slaver races as possible. Zeitgeists have a reputation for public humiliation and torture of slavers. They always have a mijusi or invincible bodyguard, and a few v'kai infiltrators in there employment. They also like to have a few ambassadors from the system they are inhabiting - these are only for public relations, no real decisions are made with them around.

Alignment

Are inherently Evil, usually tending towards lawful - don't be fooled or thwarted by their acts... For they have many.

Lands

Zeitgeist have no planet of their own, instead they leech on other planets wealth, until the resources dry up, then move onto another hapless world. They have nothing to give, but all to take! ...And the means to take.

Language

Celestial, Common, Draconic, Dwarven, Elven, Infernal, Zeit

Racial Traits

  • -4 Strength, -4 Dexterity, -2 Constitution, +4 Wisdom, +8 Charisma: Why be physical if one can make others do the job.
  • Aberration (Bug, Evil, Xenoblooded)
  • Medium: As a Medium creature, a Zeitgeist has no special bonuses or penalties due to its size.
  • Powerful Bulk: The bulk of zeitgeists lets them function in many ways as if they were one size category larger. Whenever a zeitgeist is subject to a size modifier or special size modifier for an opposed check (such as during grapple checks, bull rush attempts, and trip attempts), the zeitgeist is treated as one size larger if doing so is advantageous to him. A zeitgeist is also considered to be one size larger when determining whether a creature’s special attacks based on size (such as improved grab or swallow whole) can affect him. However, his space and reach remain those of a creature of his actual size. Also the above benefits of this racial trait stack with the effects of powers, abilities, and spells that change the subject’s size category. Unlike powerful build, a zeitgeist cannot use weapons designed for a creature one size larger without penalty.
  • Zeitgeist have a slime speed of 20 feet. The slime is secreted from its underside.
  • Bright-light Vision: Zeitgeist can see in the light up to 40 feet.
  • Darkvision: A zeitgeist can see in the dark up to 40 feet. Darkvision is black and white only, but it is otherwise like normal sight, and a zeitgeist can function just fine with no light at all.

  • Slimy Saliva (Ex): Should a victim come in contact with the mucus within a zeitgeists' mouth, they must make a Fort then Will save DC(10 + (zeitgeist HD + Cha modifier)/2), or succumb to its control! (Treat like an extraordinary confusion.)
