| This here is an interesting monster. Because of its damage reduction and minion-spawning capability, it can be used as a dungeon boss monster for a low level party pretty easily where magic weapons are just starting to show up. With enough variance in those minions, no two encounters are going to be the same, making them an enjoyable panic to fight. With that ooze-style low AC, they'll get hit a lot as expected, popping out oozelets and getting the fun started, as long as you have enough heavy hitters.
