Talk:Waltz of Blades (3.5e Prestige Class)

I made an Edit to make the table reflect the text on advancing spell casting.

Got it. Sorry for the revert, for some reason I thought you were making a mechanical edit. Guess I didn't check close enough. A shame too -- the class is weak enough without the missing caster levels. Surgo (talk) 18:34, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
My bad, I forgot to submit a summary and a discussion on the first one. And I don't find it that weak. Even if the casting was stripped off, its still powerful melee.
I think it really is just a PrC that doesn't have too many options for synergy. Either it starts with a fighter-ish base class for the feats to attempt to maximize what the class offers (which is more weapon damage, in theory, with all the dancing weapons) or it is a spellcaster that really has next to no purpose for the dancing weapons (aside from defenses, I guess, but base casters aren't short on those anyway) and is also made weaker for the investment by losing the spell advancement levels. It could either give full spellcasting levels or add in abilities to grant it more damage on its own without having to have a pre-established damage source; either option seems fine, although the former and perhaps the latter would probably push it to Very High balance. - TG Cid (talk) 17:20, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
That's true. Its much more of a flavorful class. I've got a build that uses this, and its more flavor than power. It just uses these abilities and sorcerer spells that involve weaponry and stuff.

AdoptionEdit

This could be a cool class, but in its current form it is lacking in power and synergy. I knew the author personally, and he has never had an account on this site (he used to post on paleo wiki). Could I adopt it to fix the article's problems?--Franken Kesey 07:41, 13 April 2019 (MDT)
