Spectral SilverEdit

An alloy of silver and ghostly ectoplasm, spectral silver is a partially incorporeal material. While it possess several disadvantages, it is naturally capable of interacting with ghost even while not magically enhanced. Spectral silver look much like silver with a slight blue tint. If made into a magic item it always glow blue with the same brightness of a candle while in the dark, this may be suppressed as a standard action and resumed as a free action. An additional oddity is that spectral silver melt from low temperature and solidify in high temperature. It must be forged over coldfire and this is difficult to forge.

If made into a weapon, Spectral Silver count as a silver weapon for the purpose of bypassing damage reduction. Unlike alchemical silver, it does not suffer any damage penalty. However, because of it incorporeal nature it deal half weapon damage to non ghost-touched objects and constructs. As a standard action, the wielder of a spectral silver weapon can deliver a single attack as an incorporeal touch attack, however if she does so she does not add her Strength (or other relevant ability score) to damage.

A Spectral Silver Armor is partially incorporeal in nature and this is extremely light weight, but it protection suffer slightly. It armor bonus is reduced by 1 but it gain the same bonuses as a Mithral armor. A spectral silver armor gain 10% miss chance against mundane attacks, this is bypassed by any effects which would bypass the miss chance of an incorporeal creature. If worn by an Incorporeal creature or a creature with Partial Incorporeality it improve their associated miss chance by 10%.

All spectral silver items are ghost-touched by nature, if actually made into a ghost-touched item through any effect it gain an additional +1 enhancement bonus, stacking with any magical enhancement already placed on it. This only apply once. This natural ghost-touched ability is not added to a weapon's enhancement for the purpose of determining it value or the cost to enhance it.

Spectral Silver has 12 hit points per inch of thickness and hardness 8. Spectral silver halves all damage before hardness, except for cold, force and physical damage from a ghost-touched weapon. It quarter fire damage before hardness and is immune to acid and sonic damage.
