With a loud shout, you cause an area in the air to explode with kinetic energy, producing a sonic shockwave. It deals 1d4 points of sonic damage per level in a 10 ft radius burst and knocks targets prone. You can choose to deal nonlethal damage instead at no penalty. A successful Reflex save they negate the prone effect and halve the damage.
You may also instead choose to duplicate the effects of shatter instead, using your truenamer level as your caster level.
Reverse: You cause an implosion within the air which makes a loud bang and a sharp gust of wind. It deals no damage but all targets within a 10 ft radius burst must make a Fortitude save or become deafened for 1 minute (only 1 round on a successful save). The area is briefly subject to a vacuum, snuffing out non-magical fire in the area and making a dispel check against magical fire.
Gaseous or swarm subtype creatures are damaged by the compression, taking damage as if hit by the normal effect. Instead of falling prone, they are forced into the center of the effect on a failed Reflex save.
Primal UtteranceEdit
Normal: The damage rises to 1d8 per level and you can extend the area up to 40 ft radius or less. Creatures which fail the Reflex save are blown to the edges of the area and are dazed for 1 round and prone. On a successful save, they still take full damage and are rendered prone, but not dazed.
Reversed: Creatures are permanently deafened, or deafened for 1 minute on a successful save. The area can extend up to 40 ft radius or less, and it automatically dispels all non-epic fire effects. Gaseous and swarm subtype creatures are subject to both being dazed for 1 round and moved on a failed save.
