Instead of paying a spellcaster about 910 gp for regenerate, or carrying a scroll for 2,275 gp (which is much faster and does a bit more healing), there is this portable option.
Primarily used as a slow restorative, salamander's milk has been around for quite some time. Recently however, the potency of the formula was increased to provide some minor secondary benefits to the drinker as well as making it generally tastier.
The pale pinkish fluid is generally bottled in translucent opalescent vials. Containing a fair bit of actual cream in its brewing, it has a pleasant, sweet and creamy taste.
Upon drinking, the imbiber begins to feel his body heal and repair itself on a deep level. Though the repair is slow to take place as the energy wells up within the drinker's body. At the end of the potion's duration, with a burst of energy, lost limbs and extremities are regrown. Additionally, bones are mended and organs return to working order, healing the drinker for 1 HP per his HD.
While the potion is working up the vital energies within the drinker, he's able to shrug off some fire damage. Whenever he is subject to fire during the duration of the potion, he takes half of that damage as nonlethal damage.
The imbiber automatically stabilizes if dying during the potion's duration.
The effects of this potion last for 1d4+1 hours.
There is a small (10%) chance that the drinker develops reddish spots, stripes or other skin patterning for the duration.
Prerequisites: Brew Potion, cure serious wounds, protection from energy.
Cost to Create: 1,000 gp, 80 EXP, 2 days.
