Meteor Steel AdeptEdit

A remake of the ‘’Green Star Adept’’, the Meteor Steel Adept is a spellcasting class which allows those who take it to slowly turn into construct. In the process they become stronger, gaining some of their immunities and resistances.

The Meteor Steel Adept first gain their ability by mixing the shards of a genuine meteor into a bottle with alchemical reagents, upon consuming the mixture they begin a long transformation. The shards are chosen because they are lightweight, corrosion resistant and have a bit of an organic nature to them.

The path to extract the energy out of the meteoric shards is a one which requires diligence, not all who do so even attain a piece of its potential power and many remain as they were. However those who pursue the path become more like construct, their body becoming metallic and resistant to shock and corrosion. Those who complete the path ceases to age and become immortal constructs, but retain most if not all of their organic abilities.

Becoming a Meteor Steel AdeptEdit

The meteor steel adept is a class preferable to martial-oriented casters or martial characters who dabble in magic. They retain much of their spellcasting while becoming hardier and stronger. The class ultimately grants several powerful defensive abilities.

Skills: Craft (Alchemy) 5 Ranks, Knowledge (Arcana) 8 Ranks, Knowledge (Geography) 5 Ranks. 
Feats: Masterwork Body
Spellcasting: Must be able to cast 2nd level spells. 
Special: Must consume a meteoric shard dissolved in alchemical reagents worth 1000 GP.

Class FeaturesEdit

All of the following are class features of the Meteor Steel Adept.

Spellcasting: At each level after first, you gain new spells per day and an increase in caster level (and spells known, if applicable) as if you had also gained a level in a spellcasting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one spellcasting class before becoming a Meteor Steel Adept, you must decide which class to add each level for the purpose of determining spells per day, caster level, and spells known.

Damage Reduction (Ex): A meteor steel adept gains DR/Adamantine equal to her class level, to a maximum of DR 10/Adamantine at 10th level.

Meteoric Vigor (Ex): At 1st level, a meteor steel adept absorbs parts of the meteoric shard she consumed, becoming stronger and tougher but she becomes slower and less reactive. She gains a +1 bonus to both her Strength and Constitution, but takes a -1 penalty to Dexterity (minimum of 3). At 3rd level she gains an additional +1 Strength, and 6th level +1 Constitution and -1 Dexterity. At 10th level she receives another +2 bonus to both her Strength and Constitution. The final adjustment at level 10th being +4 Strength, +4 Constitution and -2 Dexterity.

Steel Fist (Ex): A meteor steel adept is able to deliver deadlier strike while unarmed, she gain Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat. Additionally her unarmed strike damage becomes equal to that of a monk of her class level. If she possesses a level in monk, or a class that grants an unarmed strike damage progression, add her class level and her monk level to determine her unarmed strike damage.

Natural Armor (Ex): At 2nd level, a meteor steel adept's skin start hardening, granting her a +1 natural armor bonus to AC or increasing an existing bonus by +1. At 3rd level and each odd level thereafter, you increase your natural armor bonus by +1.

Meteor Zenith (Su): At 4th level, a meteor steel adept can draw upon the hidden power of the meteoric shards she consumed as a full-round action. She become enlarged as per enlarge person, even if she would not be of the correct type. While enlarged her BAB becomes equal to her character level. A meteor steel adept can use this ability for a number of rounds per day equal to twice her class level, those rounds do not need to be consecutive.

Metallic Body (Ex): A 5th level meteor steel adept's body becomes metallic, counting as a creature made of metal for the purpose of effects, although she is immune to rusting. The meteor steel adept’s weight does not change from this transformation. Additionally her unarmed strike, natural weapon and any weapon which emerges from her body (such as a soulblade or similar ability) count as adamantine for the purpose of bypassing hardness and DR.

Solid Physiognomy (Ex): At 7th level, meteor steel adept becomes immune to the Sickened, Stunned and Nauseated conditions. The alteration on her body grants her 50% fortification, immunity to poison and diseases and HADR 2 to all her physical ability scores.

Meteor Mash (Ex): When a meteor steel adept of 8th level successfully lands two unarmed strike against the same opponent in the same round, that opponent must make a DC 10 + 1/2 HD + the meteor steel adept's Strength modifier or become dazed for 1 round. If the creature fails the save, it cannot be affected again by meteor mash for 5 rounds.

Unsundered Zenith (Ex): A 9th level, when a meteor steel adept uses her Meteor Zenith ability she replicate the effect of righteous might instead of enlarge person. The DR she gains is based on her own alignment instead of being DR/Good.

Construct Reincarnation: At 10th level, a meteor steel adept becomes a construct with the living construct subtype, with immunities associated. She ceases to age, no longer needs to eat or sleep but may choose to do so. If she dies she is raised as a creature of her former type. Finally she gains fast healing 1, or increases her fast healing by 1.
