Heal by negative energy and be harmed by positive energy. If you die, you become one of the undead...

This congealed black blood flows slowly and feels cold. Those who gain a blood transfusion of death blood often feel cold as the blood is undead, and soaks the body in negative energy. As part of the grafting the subject takes 1d6 negative energy damage for 1 minute after transfusion, and if they die from it they immediately turn into an uncontrolled skeleton or zombie (as per animate dead) and the subject dies. They cannot receive positive energy to heal during this minute, or the graft will be ruined.

If the transfusion is successful, the subject now heals from negative energy and is harmed from positive energy. They detect as undead and are ignored by unintelligent undead, but sentient undead will realize there is something up unless the subject is disguised successfully as undead.

If the subject dies with this graft, they immediately rise as an undead of their choice (skeleton or zombie) as if animate dead was cast on them with a caster level equal to their character level. The resulting undead follows the last dying commands of the subject. At 11 HD, you can choose from the selection from create undead, and at 15 HD you can choose from the selection of create greater undead for any of the undead you qualify for.

Sentient undead you turn into have your personality and memories, but you cannot persist in this state forever. After 1 week you will crumble into dust. Most use this time to set up their own revival.

During construction, spells are employed to reconfigure the body, but once applied it is forever a mundane part of the creature.
