Used only once, this spell is a truly horrid fate for those who wield magic, and an even worse one for those that don't. It functions by creating a vapour that 'scrunches' magic in its area, causing destructive conversion of any living tissue. Those that become restored from their horrid fate are brought back shadows of their former selves, ravaged by the magic of this spell.
This spell functions like solid fog (against which there is still no save). Additionally, any living creature caught within its area must make a Fort save or die. If the creature has the outsider type, or possesses any supernatural or spell-like abilities, it must instead make a Fort save or become petrified (as the flesh to stone spell) permanently.
Additionally, any creature that is brought back to life, or restored from petrification, after being affected by this spell returns insane (as the insanity spell, with a permanent duration, except that it is not mind-affecting). Only miracle or wish can end this insanity.
