Animated Wheels

An animated wheel is a simple minded and specialized animated object that is literally a wheel which rotates on its own. Most wheels are small, but heavy and covered in a rubbery exterior to deal with road hazards. An axle can be placed within the animated wheel to transfer its power to another. Treat the animated wheel as a heavy warhorse for the purposes of carrying capacity and pulling and pushing. Even though it technically supports a vehicle is it considered as pulling an object. If attached to a vehicle, it also takes the object's saving throws.

Animated wheels can be commanded to spin, turn, accelerate, or decelerate as a move action with a command. Wheels can be synchronized with other wheels, so that they all move in the same direction at the same speed with one command. While a type of animated object, an animated wheel has no attacks of its own and will not fight, though it may flee. Animated wheels have a move speed of 60 ft.

Moderate transmutation; CL 11th; Craft Wondrous Item, animate objects; Price 900 gp.
