Harvestfolk

Harvest folk are odd fae beings who are tied to autumn and the harvest.

Personality

Harvestfolk are generally warm and kind beings who have a mischievous streak which can anger others but seldom turns to outright malevolence. When angered or slighted, however, they show that the lengthening nights of harvest-time hold terrors to rival the days' coziness.

Physical Description

Harvestfolk are a diverse lot, but can generally be said to be human-sized, roughly, and generally human-shaped.

Lands

Harvestfolk hail from the land of the Harvest King, a land of eternal autumn.

Religion

Most Harvestfolk who have religious tendencies worship the Harvest King, with various gods of nature being a close second, and, rarely, gods of darkness, evil, death, and so on.

Language

Harvestfolk speak Common, Sylvan and Treant, and many also learn Goblin, Ignan, Auran, or Aklo.

Racial Traits

• +2 Charisma, -2 Strength or -2 Constitution: Harvestfolk have strong personalities, but their bodies tend to be spindly, sickly, or just frail.
• Fey 
• Medium: As a Medium creature, a harvestfolk has no special bonuses or penalties due to its size.
• Harvestfolk base land speed is 30 feet.  
• Queer Form: Harvestfolk gain Extreme Body Mods as a bonus feat. 
• Spirit of the Harvest: Harvestfolk are innately tied to the season of Autumn and the celebrations of the harvest performed by many mortal races. They count as Plant creatures, and Elemental creatures with the Fire subtype for prerequisites. 
• Fae Magic (Sp): Harvestfolk may use Prestidigitation and Produce Flames with a caster level equal to their character level at will. Their ability to use Produce Flames counts as Eldritch Blast for prerequisites and may be altered with Eldritch Essence invocations if they know any. They use Charisma as the casting stat for these spell-like abilities. 
• Spooky Mein: While Harvestfolk are generally kind, or at least no worse than mischievous, they are frequently seen as at least unsettling if not terrifying by others. They have a +4 racial bonus on Intimidate checks. The initial attitudes of NPCs is one step worse towards a Harvestfolk than it otherwise would be.
• Automatic Languages: Common, Sylvan, Treant
• Bonus Languages: Any except secret
• Favored Class: Warlock or Samhain Spooker
• Level Adjustment: +0
• Effective Character Level: 1
