A class version of the Bee Dragon made by a Mr. Eiji-kun!

Bee Dragon

The Bee Dragon is the (hopefully because this is my first time) balanced class version of a wonderful monster created by Eiji-Kun.

Making a Bee Dragon

Bee Dragons are dextrous and charismatic, but they lack a bit of the toughness that other dragons might sport... They prefer to either let their allies take the beating while they support, or attack from above. The class has the choice of staying at the size that they were, or grow, this might change the choices and way you play later on. <-Strong points and weak points, and effectiveness with party members.->

Abilities: Dexterity is needed to make the Bee Dragon a little more capable of dodging in combat. While Charisma fuels its spells/abilities/spell-like abilities.

All of the following are class features of the Bee Dragon.

Spells: A Bee Dragon casts arcane spells as a sorcerer of his level -10

Control Bees (Su): A Bee Dragon may rebuke and control flying vermin, typically bee swarms and giant wasps, as a cleric of its character level.

Create Honey/Wax (Ex): The Bee Dragon can create honey and wax naturally, as much as one entire beehive during one day of a honey flow per 5 levels (min 1) per day. At 10th level, the honey has a unique special property of concealing any object encased fully in it from divination, as if obscure object with a caster level of the Bee Dragon's level had been cast on it. This unusual property fades after 1 day when removed from the bee dragon's lair. Otherwise, it has no unusual properties.

Poison (Ex): A Bee Dragon gains a poison which causes itchiness, redness, and swelling. 1d4 Con/Staggered for 1 minute. The DC is Constitution based. The Bee Dragon can only inflict one dose of this poison per level.

Breath Weapon (Su): The Bee Dragon has a deadly breath weapon, a cone of bees (with a radius of 5 * 1/2 level, min 5)!!! It deals the listed damage above as magic piercing damage and inflicts poison as if struck by its poison sting. A successful Reflex save halves the damage, and a Fortitude save negates the poison. Flight of the Bumblebee (Ex): At 3rd level the Bee Dragon grows short insect wings that can be used to fly at 60 ft speed with average maneuverability, but only for a few seconds at a time, so if he ends his turn in the air he instantly falls. At 5th level the Bee Dragon can fly at 60 ft with average maneuverability all the time without problem.

Sting Dart (Sp): At 4th Level the Bee Dragon obtains the ability to cast Sting Dart 3/day (https://dnd-wiki.org/wiki/Sting_Dart_(3.5e_Spell))

Scent (Su): At 5th Level a Bee Dragon gets Scent

Supernatural Venom (Su): At 6th level, a Bee Dragon's venom becomes impossibly toxic. It can work on beings immune to poison, though they gain a +8 bonus on saves. Speech of the Queen: The Bee Dragon can communicate with vermin as if they were capable of communicating in a language he understands. He can likewise communicate with any creature that probably should have been classified as a vermin, subject to the DM's whim. He is fully able to speak to and understand a Hellwasp Swarm, a Phase Spider, or a Gelugon, for example. With respect to such creatures, the Bee Dragon can use his ranks in Handle Animal or Diplomacy to influence their opinion.

Honey Ambrosia (Sp): At 8th Level the Bee Dragon obtains the ability to cast Honey Ambrosia 3/day (https://dnd-wiki.org/wiki/Honey_Ambrosia_(3.5e_Spell))
