History[edit]
Hatched a slave under the rule of a tyrannical king, Ktenkath quickly learned the importance of freedom. From a young age, he was forced to labor for his master, continually being starved of food, drink, and sleep. As he approached adulthood, he began fantasizing about how he could build up a resistance and overthrow the king. For a long time, these remained fantasies, the only bit of pleasure he could get. As his theoretical ideas for how to rebel developed, however, he realized that he might actually be able to accomplish them, given time and effort. He began spreading word immediately, giving every oppressed slave he could meet a simple message: Ktenkath will lead the rebellion at decade's end. This faint glimmer of hope swept over the land without notice of the aristocracy, resounding silently back and forth across the nation of peasants. Each person was told by a dozen others of the plan, and with each telling the people believed in it more. Finally new year's eve of the new decade came. The nation was poised to attack its oppressors, with the nobles knowing nothing of the plan. The stroke of midnight came, and the castles fell so easily they may as well have been houses of cards. Many of the professional soldiers formerly defending their lieges turned sides, sympathetic for the plight of the downtrodden. Within days, the government crumbled, the coup de grace being dealt when Ktenkath dropped the King off the side of his own castle into a cheering mob. Eventually everything settled down, and the people settled into a tribal sort of living, not uniting into a nation again for another century. To prevent tyranny from reclaiming the land, Ktenkath traveled, establishing local governments and defending his countrymen from threats by assembling and training militias personally. By the time Ktenkath died, the land was solidly established as a peaceful cluster of city-states. Statues were built in his honor, and when the country eventually united he was revered as their founder and savior. After the end of the world, Ktenkath gladly accepted the candidacy for godhood, promising to uphold freedom and truth.

During the invasion of the capitol, Ktenkath was joined by an arificer by the name of ???. Although he was a servant of the crown, he jumped on the opportunity to aid the rebellion, retrieving for Ktenkath the Mask of Inescapable Truth. The mask was a unique relic that was locked away, deemed dangerous to the security of the kingdom, due to it telling the secrets of the crown to anyone who would listen. Both the mask and an artificer gladly agreed to join Ktenkath, and the mask opted to rest with him in his grave when the man eventually died.
